Closure of the Kit Digital programme
Kit Digital, an initiative designed to accelerate the digitalisation of self-employed professionals and small businesses, has ended after awarding more than €3.4 billion in grants to 860,000 businesses.
Over its three years, the programme reached 7,500 municipalities, representing 92% of the total, and processed more than 1.2 million applications. This exceeded the European Union’s initial target by 127%. More than 500,000 projects have already been completed, and women account for 39% of beneficiaries, above the national average.
According to Red.es, participating companies increased their level of digitalisation from 38% to 51%, with productivity improvements of up to 65% as a result of the solutions implemented.
Some of the programme’s key results:
The average processing time for a case was reduced from 3 hours to 3 minutes.
A total of 24 million automated checks were carried out by 39 robots, saving more than 9 million hours of administrative work.
Correctly submitted applications were resolved in less than 15 days.
The grants reached every province and economic sector, including construction, transport, agriculture and livestock farming.
